The Global and Area Studies Excellence Award will be granted every academic year to a maximum of 5 high-performing students in their second year of study or above who are GLAS majors at the time of nomination and the award disbursement. Each award is worth $10,000 HKD. Awardees will be selected on the basis of academic merit and commitment to the GLAS community, and will be evaluated through reviews of their performance in GLAS courses, written statements of purpose, and oral interviews.
